Terms of Use

The game

Spread Dog is a free NFL pick’em played between friends. Each week you lock one team; if they win outright, you score points shaped by the point spread, and the most points at the end of the season wins. It is a game of bragging rights: no entry fees, no prizes, no wagering, and no money moves through it, ever. Point spreads shown in the app are informational, sourced from third-party odds data. Spread Dog is not a sportsbook, does not accept or facilitate bets, and is not affiliated with the NFL, any team, or any sportsbook.

Your content and conduct

Your display name and optional profile photo are visible to members of your leagues. Objectionable content is not tolerated: no names or photos that are abusive, hateful, obscene, or impersonate someone else. Every player can report a name or photo and block another player from inside the app. We act on reports within 24 hours, which can mean removing content, renaming a membership, or closing an account.

Accounts

An account is created with a league join code and secured by a recovery code shown to you once — keep it somewhere safe, because it is the only way back into your account on a new device. You can leave any league, change the name you use inside it, and delete your account entirely — all from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your name, photo, picks, and sessions. A league you owned passes to its longest-standing member rather than being left without one.

The service

Spread Dog is provided as-is, without warranty. Schedules, scores, and point spreads come from third-party sources and can be wrong, late, or missing; scoring follows the data we have, with manual correction as the backstop. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service and may discontinue the service itself.
